How close is the route?

Use a known direction to check the line. These adjustments affect the picture only.

The colored line follows the proposed route at a reference height of 180 feet. It is not an electrical wire or a final design.

The guide narrows with distance. Its width and shading help show depth; they do not represent the size of a wire. Bands are spaced 250 feet along the route and disappear when too small or crowded. Labels show approximate horizontal distance from your phone to each marked point; the readout below shows the nearest route point.

Amber ground shading uses the same simulated 200-foot right-of-way as the map, 100 feet on each side of the nearest route section. Dotted markers connect the ground to the 180-foot guide at selected 500-foot intervals. They illustrate height and distance, not tower locations. At a distance, the ground strip naturally looks thin from phone height.

This guide assumes level ground and a camera held 5 feet above it. Trees, buildings and hills are not modeled. The line can appear over objects that would block a real view.

Live measurements start at your phone’s current location. The address you search on the map does not change the camera’s location.
